Earn money from your (video) recipes.
Spaply is a platform where people can subscribe to your recipes, save them, and cook them.
You get a regular monthly income—no investment, no commitments, just for what you already create.
Let's see how it works.
How does it work?
Spaply serves as a personal online cookbook, where each user can enter their own recipes or save recipes from other users. Users can then plan their recipes in a calendar, which generates a shopping list and, if desired, an overview of macronutrients for the week. But how do you profit from this?
Anyone who creates recipes on Spaply can choose whether their recipes will be available to users for free or for a monthly subscription fee. We will then pay 90% of the amount to you, the creator.
1. Create video recipes as before
You shoot videos and publish them on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.
You don’t have to change anything about your work.
2. Paste the text recipe into Spaply
Instead of writing a long description on social media, you can create a precise recipe in Spaply:
- ingredients,
- step-by-step instructions,
- and photos for each step, if desired.
Your followers will always have the recipe at their fingertips—saved and ready to cook.
3. Refer followers to Spaply
At the end of the video or in the description, add a simple call to action:
Find the full recipe on Spaply.
Users can subscribe to you, save your recipes, and plan their cooking around them. This gives you recurring monthly income.
4. You risk nothing, you pay nothing in advance
You don’t pay any entry fees or flat rates.
Spaply only takes 10% of the subscription fee (+ VAT) –
90% of the amount goes to you.
Payments and subscriptions are processed reliably and securely by Stripe.

You often ask us.
Do you have any questions? We will be happy to advise you.
How much can I earn?
It depends on the number of your subscribers and the subscription price you set.
We estimate that approximately 0.5-5% of followers will become subscribers. You can try out our calculator to find out more.
The food category has above-average conversion potential because:
- people actually cook according to the creator,
- the value of the recipe is very practical,
- users are motivated to return,
- recipes are long-term content (evergreen).
The actual conversion rate for food creators is usually 2–4% of followers.
For very loyal communities, it can be as high as 6–8%.
How does payment work?
Payments are made via Stripe.
In your account, you will see an overview of your subscriptions and earnings, which Stripe regularly pays into your account. After registering, you will need to fill in your personal details, and Stripe may also ask you to upload personal documents.
Do I have to be a professional chef?
You don’t have to. All you need to do is create recipes that make sense to people—whether you’re a professional, a food blogger, or just someone who can cook well and share.
Do I need anything extra to earn money on Spaply? (business license, taxes, accounting, etc.)
It depends on how much you earn and in which country you live.
In general, the following applies:
If you earn money, it must be taxed.
Creating content is considered income from an economic activity – just like on other similar platforms.
This means you need to include it in your tax return (usually as “business income” or “other income,” depending on your local legislation).
Small earnings often don’t require a business license.
In most EU countries, it’s completely fine if you occasionally make a few euros per month.
Sometimes it can be reported as other income, other times as an artistic / author activity — it depends on your situation.
If you earn money regularly, a business license is recommended.
Once you have subscribers paying you every month, it becomes a continuous activity → which usually means having a trade license or equivalent registration in your country.
The good thing is: you can then deduct related expenses (ingredients, equipment, camera, etc.).
Payouts via Stripe are official income.
Stripe pays the money directly to your bank account and keeps records of all transactions.
These serve as the basis for your accounting or tax return.
Spaply doesn’t make anything more complicated.
you don’t sign anything,
you don’t pay anything upfront,
you don’t need your own payment gateway,
you simply set your subscription and create content.
You only need to handle administration once you actually start receiving income.
Summary:
you can start completely without paperwork,
if your income grows, you can sort out a business license later,
tax obligations start with income — not with registering on the platform.
Note: We recommend checking your specific tax requirements based on the country you live in (each EU country has slightly different rules).
How much does it cost to get started?
Getting started is free. No sign-up fees or flat rates.
Spaply only takes 10% of the subscription fee collected—the rest is yours.
What if I change my mind?
You can stop creating recipes, change your subscription price, switch recipes to public, or terminate your account at any time.
You don’t have to pay anything in advance or sign up for a long-term contract.
However, recipes that users have saved will remain in their library.
